Vehicle Transfers

 

Seller must have the certificate of title from the Office of Motor Vehicle at the time of sale.  Vehicle Transfers can be handled by bill of sale or donation.  All parties must have proper identification at time of sale.

Boat Transfers
 
Seller must have the certificate of title from the Office of Motor Vehicle for the trailer at the time of sale, Seller must also have the registration or title for the boat at the time of sale.  All Parties must have proper identification at time of sale.

Affidavits

 

An affidavit is a sworn sttement before a Notary Public by an affiant.  Standard affidavits include but are not limited to: Affidavit of Demobilization, Affidavit of Non-Use of Vehicles, Affidavit of Death and Heirship, Affidavit of Support just to name a few.

Most Common Will

 

In Louisiana, the most common will is the statutory testament which allows a testator to dispose of their property in accordance with the Louisiana laws.  Notaries cannot give legal advice on any matters, especially estate planning.  However, a Notary can properly prepare your last will and testament in accordance with Louisiana laws.
